Manufacturer of high-quality tops
The Aresma engineer technology GmbH produces and sells convertible tops for cars of many manufacturers. We concentrate our activity on the after-market for softtops in cloth or PVC. Our products will improve the vehicles optic and functionality, so that driving fun and the feeling remain over the years while driving your convertible as long as possible.
In the meantime we are one of the prominent manufactures of convertible tops within Europe and supply distributers and trimmers with the necessary tops. Our products stand for highest quality in material, processing and fitting to reasonable prices.
Company History
distributer for classic car spareparts and manufacturer of softtops since 1975
The Aresma engineer technology GmbH was founded in 1975 by three partners, in order to provide spare parts for autoveterans. First company headquarters was in Hamburg Kirchwerder.
Most interior equipment of the old vehicles at this time was restored badly and with inadequate materials. Aresma provided adequate pad materials, carpets, headliner cloth and automotive leather for specialized shops.
The building at the Kirchwerder became soon too small. The enterprise mover to a new location in Hamburg-Altona. Here the business was expanded strongly and an upholstery workshop was integrated. In 1991 the three partners decided to move again. This time to the location of Geesthacht in the south-eatsern outskirts of Hamburg, where it is still located today. The development at the new location ran rapidly and well. Nevertheless the market for restoration of older vehicles changed and the company had to change as well.
Starting from 1994 the enterprise and product strategy were adapted to the need of the market according to specialization and the high standard of the own product know-how. Aresma changed itself, accompanied of substantial investments in production machinery, from a trading venture to the production enterprise with commercial portions. Core range today is the production of softtops for convertibles as well as the materials, which are needed for the production of such tops.
The company invested in a manufacturing plant for fabric coatings in the proximity of Dresden. Research and development of modern and improved materials is done as well as material testing.
Aresma is now able to deliver most softtops of European cars to customers all over the world.

Geesthacht near Hamburg
Geesthacht is the largest city of the district of Lauenburg in Schleswig-Holstein and part of the region around the city of Hamburg, with the River Elbe nearby.
The Aresma GmbH resides here since 1991 with their production location. The proximity to the metropolis Hamburg and the good traffic route over the motorway 25 makes the location attractive and provides smooth and fast logistics of goods.
